Singing & Drama
On April 29th 2011, my wife and I were invited to the Nottingham Arts Theatre by the Nottinghamshire Royal Society for the Blind, to a show of partially, and blind artists performing drama and also singing.
It was a wonderful show and we both thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
During the intervals, volunteers were invited onto the stage to receive awards for their efforts. I was invited to be presented with an award and a certificate for the 45 years I have been volunteering with the NRSB, I felt very humbled and also extremely proud to be receiving such an award.

The Big Day Out
Well, the time had eventually rolled around, the day that ‘The Radford Lad’ got suited and booted and took a long awaited trip to see Her Majesty, The Queen.
Receiving my MBE was a dream come true to say the least, something that the majority of people never have the fortune to experience, needless to say I soaked up EVERYTHING like a sponge!
It was nothing short of breathtaking, the cars, the food, the people the location and obviously the lady that gave me my MBE – Her Majesty The Queen.
The whole experience has been one that I never in a million years would have believed happening to myself, but here we are the pictures say it all, a day that I will truly never forget.
